Story: You play 3 new characters that must escape from the Legato and find out what Weyland is after.

Good or Bad Story?: The story is ok as it’s easy to figure out what is going to happen. 0K!

Graphics: The dlc campaign looks more polished than the main campaign especially during the cut scenes, but it still suffers texture loading and frequent screen tearing that really hurts the game’s good looks.

Audio: The voice acting in Italian is really good and the music is really good. However some of the machine guns sound terrible when firing.

Game play:

Good: Stasis Interrupted plays exactly the same as the main campaign so there will be no issues jumping in to it. The controls remain the same as well. The game has both stealth and gun blazing parts, along with new locations that have some horror and creepiness. Xenomorphs Ai has improved a bit, checkpoints have improved, you can take different paths to reach some areas, you have 1 boss fight, and logs return to add more back-story. Now 1 of the most noticeable things in the dlc is that when you play alone you’ll mostly end up going to many parts of a level alone while your Ai partner(if your given 1) will stay behind, adding a lot more horror. And you will fight both Weyland soldiers and xenos.

Bad: Armor remains weak and your custom weapons don’t transfer to the dlc even though it doesn’t make a difference I still would have liked it if they would transfer. Also your weapons that you collected from the main story do not transfer either to the dlc and so you will have to find them again for all 3 characters as they don’t transfer to 1 another.

Overall: Stasis Interrupted is a great addition to Colonial marines and from my experience it ended up being better than the main campaign. But still it suffers from the many issues that the main campaign has that could have been fixed or improved on along with some new 1s that are in the dlc. Even though those issues are in the dlc it’s well worth the $10 to play through the game again in 4 new levels that are long. Now I hope to see more dlc for this game after this, because this really impressed me. This dlc is a must buy.

Likes: Graphics, music, voices, game play, coop, boss fight, radar, custom controls, flashlight, stealth, scares, story, new characters, and checkpoints.

Dislikes: Texture loading, screen tearing, armor, no weapon transfers, and no customs.

Wish list: More dlc and fix issues.

Score: 4.5/5 REALLY G00D!

Supports 1-2p coop local and online

Story: Shao Khan look-a-like has taken some women hostage and it’s up to you to kick/punch your way to save the girls and get rid of the bad guy for good.

Good or Bad Story?: Its really basic but it’s not important at all to these kind of games(beat-em ups) and that’s not a bad thing since you won’t play for the story. NOT IMPORTANT!

Graphics: The graphics are 8-bit since this game came out in the 80’s, but it still looks good today. However the graphics can be adjusted to make the game look closer to what arcade games looked like on a arcade cabinet in the past like adding scan lines or changing the size of the screen. There is even an option to change the wallpaper in the background with some that are unlocked by doing things in the game.

Audio: The music is not bad and fits the game well. It seems to be jazz music.

Game play:

Good:  This game is challenging(difficulty can be changed) and is viewed from a bird’s eye view and this allows for a smoother way to control the character’s movements for a kind-of pre-3d experience. You can punch and kick your foes along with using a special move that will lower your health, but helps you stay clear of too many enemies coming at you. Along the way you can destroy some blue trashcans that will hold power-ups that can aid you in battle. There are secret areas hidden in the game and a boss fight at the end of each level and additional modes.

Bad: While I found things I like there are things I don’t like. The punches that the character does are not really great using on bosses and are only good on minions; however, this makes you want to use the kick button for the majority since it does a better job at beating every enemy you fight. Another thing the character can get stuck in some fights like the 2nd boss fight, where I tried to attack the boss and eventually the character stayed attach to the boss and allowed him to beat me up since the character can’t do anything at that moment. And once you lose all your lives that come with 1 credit against a boss and decide to continue the boss fight the game will make you start not at the fight with the boss but around half-way the level or so before the boss fight. I would have liked if the game would have allowed me to respawn at the boss fight and not having to fight my way again to reach the boss at the end of a level.

Overall: I really enjoyed this different style of a beat-em up and what it offers, but would have wished that something’s like the respawning system was better.

Likes: Combat, graphics, music, power-ups, and more modes.

Dislikes: Punches are not that great, being stuck to an enemy, checkpoints.

Wish list: Better checkpoints, sequel, make punches better.

Score: 4.5/5 REALLY GOOD!

Recommended for fans of: Beat-em ups, fighting games, old school gamers, coop, broops,  capcom.

Support 1-2 local coop and versus modes, 1-4 online coop and 1-12 versus modes.

Story: The marines pick up a signal from Hicks that comes from the Sulaco a ship that for some reason is in orbit over LV-426. You play as Winter a colonial marine who must find out why the Sulaco is in orbit while trying to survive when he arrives on the ship.

Good or Bad Story?: The story is forgettable from beginning to end. BAD!

Graphics: The graphics are good, but there are other games that run on Unreal 3 that look better than this. There is screen tearing during cut scenes and some bad texture loading.

Audio: The voice acting in Spanish is really good and the music is really good. However some of the machine guns sound terrible when firing.

Game play:

Good: The game is a fps and can be played with 4 players online for the story mode and you have to think in this game to survive and not just go guns blazing or you will die a lot. You fight both human and xenomorphs(who move like their dancing) using your array of guns that you collect including weapons from some of the actors from the movies. You have a flashlight for use when in the dark and a radar that can detect enemy movement at all times. There is a stealth level that caused some good scares(later levels also had scares), plenty of firefights, and there are some boss fights. While moving around the levels you might find some computers that have audio reports that can give you more insight about someone or something, you also will find health packs to recover health, ammo, and helmets to recover armor. Everything you collect and fight will level up your character and give you points to customize your guns and for multiplayer change the appearances of your soldiers and playable xenomorphs. And 1 of the best things is allowing the player to map any action to any button.

Bad: The elevator machine controls very bad for both moving and fighting a enemies. Certain weapons that you find are meant for 1 use will disappear if you switch to another weapon making you have to backtrack to get it back and there are a few glitches that prevented me from moving back to get items in later levels. In later levels the checkpoints become bad along with the AI for your teammates who don’t really help you when you’re dying or low on health. And your armor is very bad as it can go down at times with 1 hit.

Overall: WTF happened? I found Aliens to be a very fun game cause you get to fight xenomorphs and not just humans like in most shooters, but has some issues and certain features that could be improved.

Likes: Graphics, music, voice acting, coop, weapon custom, changing the marines and the xenos appearance, the way the xenos move, boss fights, radar, custom controls, flashlight, stealth, scares, reports, rare guns.

Dislikes: Texture loading, elevator machine, checkpoints, screen tearing, ai for teammates, weapons disappearing, armor, some glitches, story.

Wish list: Better character customs like taking less damage, better checkpoints, better AI for teammates, better armor, better story, and a sequel call it Aliens Colonial Wolverines with Wolverine being playable.

Score: 4/5 GOOD!
