1943 REVIEW

ITS A PLANE

DARKNOVAFORCE Reviews

1943

PLATFORMS: XBOX 360/PS3

Game supports English, Japanese, Spanish, French, Italian, and German text.

Supports 1-2p coop local and online

Story: You’re a pilot who is trying to stop the enemy forces from advancing.

Good or Bad Story?: The game doesn’t give you a detailed story, but it doesn’t matter since these types of games don’t need it. Not important.

Graphics: The graphics are 8-bit since this game came out in the 80’s, but it still looks good today and is the better looking game in pack 1 on Capcom Arcade Cabinet. However the graphics can be adjusted to make the game look closer to what arcade games looked like on a arcade cabinet in the past like adding scan lines or changing the size of the screen. There is even an option to change the wallpaper in the background with some that are unlocked by doing things in the game.

Audio: It has really good music and sound effects.

Game play:

Good: This game is challenging(difficulty can be changed) and is viewed from a bird’s eye view. You can shoot and use bombs to defeat your foes, but the bombs will lower your health, but helps you stay clear of too many enemies coming at you depending on if it’s on the sea or in the sky. The more points you earn the more lives you get and you may unlock some secret items also boss fights are at the end of each level and additional modes are available.

Bad: There is nothing bad about the game.

Overall: This is a really fun shooter to play especially with friends. This is a must have game of 2013.

Likes: Game play, graphics, music, power-ups, and more modes.

Dislikes: ?

Wish list: Sequel.

Score: 5/5 Awesome

Recommended to fans of: shooters, old school gamers, airplanes,  coop, bro-ops, capcom.
